Your current U.S. representative for VA-02 is Jen Kiggans (Republican), who has held the seat since January 2023 and represents the Hampton Roads area (Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Franklin, and the Eastern Shore).

She's up for reelection in 2026 — the primary is August 4, 2026, and the general election is November 3, 2026.
She's running unopposed by other Republicans of note in the primary, facing William Matthews on the GOP side.

On the Democratic side, four candidates are competing in the primary — former Rep. Elaine Luria, physician Nila Devanath, former USAID worker Patrick Mosolf, and a regional government official — for the chance to challenge Kiggans in the fall.
