Your current U.S. Representative for California's 51st District is Sara Jacobs, a Democrat who has represented the district since it currently includes central and eastern portions of San Diego, much of Mission Valley, as well as eastern suburbs such as El Cajon, La Mesa, Spring Valley, and Lemon Grove.

A couple of things worth flagging:

Redistricting is happening. In August 2025, California began taking official action toward congressional redistricting ahead of the 2026 elections, and voters approved a new map by a 65%-35% vote in a November 2025 special election. The new district lines take effect after the November 2026 elections, once the 120th Congress is seated on January 3, 2027. So CA-51's boundaries could shift depending on where exactly you live.

She's up for re-election this year. Sara Jacobs is running for re-election in the primary for CA-51 on June 2, 2026, along with Ricardo Cabrera, Stan Caplan, and David Engel, with the general election on November 3, 2026.
