Under the current (119th Congress) map, CA-19 is represented by Jimmy Panetta (D), covering parts of the Central Coast — including Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, and southern Santa Clara counties.

A couple of things worth flagging:

Redistricting note: California redrew its congressional map in the 2025–26 mid-decade redistricting cycle (voters approved the new map in a November 2025 special election). The new district lines take effect with the November 2026 election, so CA-19's boundaries — and possibly its representative — could look different after that election. If you want to confirm which district you're in under the new map, it's worth checking with your state election office or the U.S. Census Bureau.

Panetta is also running for re-election, facing Sean Dougherty and Hannah James in the Democratic primary, along with Republican Peter Verbica and independent Ana Luz Acevedo-Cabrera, with the primary held June 2, 2026.

So for right now, Panetta is your rep — but if you're near a district boundary, it's worth double-checking that you're still in CA-19 once the new map takes effect this fall.
