Your current U.S. representative for California's 22nd district is David Valadao (R), who has served since January 2023 (he also represented the old CA-21 from 2013–2019 and 2021–2023).

A couple of things worth flagging since you're asking in July 2026:

California redrew its congressional maps under Proposition 50 ahead of the 2026 elections, and the June 2, 2026 primary for CA-22 was run under new district lines — so depending on exactly where you live, you may now be in a different district than before, even if the number "22" still applies to you.

Valadao, along with Democrats Jasmeet Bains and Randy Villegas, ran in the June 2 top-two primary, with the general election set for November 3, 2026. So Valadao remains the incumbent right now, but the seat is a competitive race this cycle.
