**Important note about redistricting:** 
Because of the redistricting that took effect in January 2023, the boundaries for CA-05 changed significantly. 
*   **The current CA-05** covers the western Sierra Nevada and parts of the Central Valley, including all of Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, and Mariposa counties, as well as parts of El Dorado, Fresno, Madera, and Stanislaus counties. 
*   *(If you live in the Napa/Sonoma area and remember your district being CA-05, that area was redrawn into CA-04 and is currently represented by Mike Thompson).*
