Ohio's 6th congressional district is a U.S. congressional district which is represented by Representative Michael Rulli of the Republican Party.
 
Rulli was elected to the seat after he defeated Democrat Michael Kripchak in the June 11, 2024 special election, caused by the resignation of incumbent Bill Johnson (R) on January 21, 2024.


The district covers eastern Ohio: 
it runs along the eastern side of the state, bordering West Virginia and Pennsylvania, and stretches from Marietta through several Ohio River industrial towns all the way to the city of Youngstown.


**One important note about upcoming changes:** Ohio recently redrew its congressional map.

On October 31, 2025, the Ohio Redistricting Commission voted unanimously to approve a new congressional map, which will take effect for the 2026 elections.
