Missouri's 1st congressional district is in the eastern portion of the state, and its current representative is Democrat Wesley Bell, the former St. Louis County district attorney.
 
Bell was first elected in 2024 after defeating two-term congresswoman Cori Bush, who herself had toppled ten-term incumbent William Lacy Clay, Jr.


He has served 
in Congress from 2025 through present, currently serving Missouri District 1.
 In the 2024 election, 
he was elected with 75.9% of the vote.


A note on geography: 
the 1st district encompasses the city of St. Louis and much of northern St. Louis County, including Florissant and University City.


One thing to keep in mind — Missouri recently went through a mid-decade redistricting process. 
On August 29, 2025, Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe announced a special session to redraw the congressional maps, and he signed the proposed map bill into law on September 28. Following its enactment, the map has faced both lawsuits and a citizen-led ballot initiative that, if certified, would suspend its implementation for the 2026 election and, if approved by voters, overturn it.
 So the district boundaries may change for future elections, but Wesley Bell is your representative in the current (119th) Congress.
