The district covers parts of Cook County — 
as of the 2023 redistricting that followed the 2020 census, all or parts of Broadview, Bellwood, Chicago, Forest Park, Hillside, Oak Park, La Grange Park, Maywood, River Forest, Berkeley, and Westchester are included.


One note for the future: this seat is up for election in 2026, with 
La Shawn Ford (D), Chad Koppie (R), Nathan Billips (Independent), Anita Rao (Independent), and Jabari Taylor (Independent) running in the general election for U.S. House Illinois District 7 on November 3, 2026.
