The district covers the Sacramento area: 
it encompasses southern Sacramento County, part of Yolo County, and a tiny portion of Solano County. It includes all of Sacramento south of the American River, including Downtown Sacramento, and its suburbs of West Sacramento, Elk Grove, and Galt.


One thing worth noting: 
this Congressional district was established by the voters of California with the passage of Proposition 50 (2025) on November 4, 2025 and will go into effect after the November 2026 elections and upon seating of the 120th Congress, January 3, 2027.
 So the district's boundaries will change in the future, but Doris Matsui is your current representative for CA-07.
